Kealakekua Bay Bed & Breakfast
is a luxurious Mediterranean-style villa overlooking the pristine bay
on the sunny and warm south Kona coast of Hawaii's Big Island, in the
heart of Kona coffee country.
Located on a five-acre tropical estate of colorful, fragrant flowers and
plants, fruit trees and many varieties of exotic palms, the park-like
setting of the villa and separate guesthouse provide guests with a peaceful
and secluded sojourn from the tensions of mainland life. The area is peaceful
and rural, yet close to stores and restaurants. Conservation land and
a state historical park adjacent to the property promote a sense of openness
and privacy. Sweeping views of the ocean, coastal areas, and pali
(cliff), may be experienced from both our polynesian hale (cottage)
and our private bed and breakfast suites.

The villa offers two large, tastefully-appointed
bedrooms
and the stunning master suite, all with private entrance, bath, queen
or king bed, and breathtaking views of the bay, coastal areas and the
pali (cliffs) of the adjacent conservation land and state historical park.
Guests may avail themselves of the spacious library and entertainment
room with cable TV, VCR and stereo. An expanded continental breakfast,
featuring many locally-grown tropical fruits and Kona coffee, is served
each morning on the upper-level dining lanai overlooking the bay.

The Pali room has a queen size
bed, en suite bath and garden/ocean/mountain views. The Lehua room has
a king-size bed, ensuite bath and garden/ocean views. The luxurious A'llii
suite has a king-size bed, wicker decor and large windows overlooking
the pristine bay. A jucuzzi, bidet, and double lavatories with hand-made
tile further enhance this special place to stay for a romantic getaway.

The separate two-bedroom, two and
one-half bath guesthouse provides the option of even more privacy and
seclusion. Featuring
a fully-equipped kitchen, laundry room, additional sleeping areas and
its own lanai with a spectacular view of the bay, this house can accomodate
parties of up to eight comfortably.

Guests may choose many different
activities to participate in. There are three snorkelling beaches within
walking distance. The Puuhonua O'Honaunau National Park is a five minute
drive away. The park contains wonderful exhibits of the old Hawaiian lifestyle
and culture, as well as hiking trails and a tranquil picnic area. The
park's adjacent bay, Honaunau, is great for snorkeling and shore diving.
Sea turtles can often be seen in the bay, along with numerous species
of tropical fish.

There is an underwater wildlife
state park at Captain Cook Monument across the bay, where snorkeling rivals
any other location in the Islands. Guests may simply want to relax on
their private lanai to watch the everpresent spinner dolphins or wintering
Humpback whales frolic in the bay. There are many additional ocean activities
in the area, such as fishing and kayaking, which we can help arrange for
you. Your host loves the island and knows it well. He can assist knowingly
assist you with any arrangements including flights, rental cars, restaurants,
and activities.
