The amplifier uses techniques similar to other parts of the image in that primitives and PICT terrains were both used. Here's the amplifier once again to refresh your memory.
Only the face of the amplifier used a grayscale PICT terrain. Note the subtle gradient shading in the upper part of the image. This creates the inclined upper part of the amplifier on which the control panel sits.
All other parts were made with primitives, using the following PICTs.
The other parts of the amplifier were given no texture and appropriate optical properties. The two red lights were given high specular and ambient components with the following colors (although you need no diffuse color at all since it is set at 0).
